Dewaco, which is part of Econet Group, sold its first new generation belt filter press model to Guatemala. Installations are included in the order. The parties do not reveal the price of the deal.
- Selling to Guatemala has been interesting, because working language has been also Spanish, in addition to English. Moreover, time difference has affected the work, and most of the conversations were discussed in the evenings, tells Dewaco's area sales manager Ossi Isotalo.
The new model will be taken into use at a wastewater treatment plant, which handles the waste from a slaughterhouse. The order was sent from Laitila in the beginning of April, and the installations will be carried out at the end of April.
The new belt filter press model consists of sludge dewatering and thickening units. Thanks to the units, the sludge becomes more dense and dry. Handling the sludge is important, so that it does not end up in the environment, and cause, for instance, soil contamination.
DEWA-equipment are known in the Southern United States and Middle America, and Dewaco has delivered equipment to the area for years already.
Guatemala is situated at the Southern board of Mexico, and the population is 16 millions. The official language is Spanish.
