Econet Ltd to represented Finnish cleantech know-how on a business delegation in Beijing, which was lead by the Minister of Agriculture and the Environment Kimmo Tiilikainen. Econet was one of 14 Finnish companies, which participated, and promoted the new smart water metering solution.
- The Chinese companiones showed great interest to the remotely readable water meter solution during the meetings, tells Yuan Xu, who works in Econet's China market sales and marketing.
The main focus was in smart and clean cities and wood industry. The delegation was held in the middle of May. By the visit Minister Tiilikainen supported the Finnish companies to increase exports to China.
- We discussed together with the smart city leaders even about the first pilot of the remotely readable water meter in China, tells Econet’s development director Antti Herlevi.
China is the second largest economy in the world. Due to rapid economic growth, China has encountered big environmental challenges. The Chinese government has strongly emphasized on the actions towards solving the environment issues. China offers huge business opportunities for Finnish companies in green building and Smart city solution.
