Participation to the Astana EXPO- world exhibition strengthened Econet group’s position in Kazakstan. Econet and Econet's remotely readable water meter awakened interest in many B2B-meetings during the exhibition. Kazakstan strives to make use of the newest technique, which can offer new business opportunities. At the moment, for instance, the water and wastewater systems are lead by Japanese smart technology in Astana.
- During the three month long exhibition, three water and environment related seminars were held, and Econet group’s product palette stood out well. We have gotten many inquiries about the remotely readable water meter, tells Econet’s Russian export project manager Vadim Fedorov.
Pavilion of Finland included four departments: Smart city, Clean water, Education, and Energy production. Finnish water forum coordinated the Clean water department. Econet was innovating and producing materials, which represented Finnish knowhow in water business.
111 countries participated to the Astana EXPO 2017, and it ended in the middle of September. Four million visitors visited at the exhibition. The general theme was Future energy, and at the ending ceremony the best pavilions were rewarded in three different size category, and evaluated with two criteria: the best design of the pavilion and the best implementation of the theme. Finland won in its own size category the gold metal of the best implementation of the theme.
